I have straight plug heads and yes I had serious clearance problems. The #7 tube is the worst I had a friend cut the tube and replace it with another that bends out further from the head. I ended up not using the headers at all even after all that because they also hit the crossmember and brakelines very badly. I bought a set of hedman long tubes and they fit very well with great sparkplug clearance, I can change all the pluges in about 15-20min with a short 5/8 wrech. I know most people have not had as much clearance problems with the Hooker LT's as I did, thats just my personal experience. I want to eventually use the Hooker LT's because of the larger 1 3/4 tubes but I'm going to wait until I get a tubular crossmember so I can avoid most of the clearance problems.

. I've got some Vortec heads ready to go on my new motor & really wanna use the 2210s. If it's too much hassle to make that modification to the spark plug then I might just go with Hedman.

i took the plug, marked how much i needed to take off and then took it to my bench grinder and grinded off the ceramic part and then after that was off and the electrod was exposed i cut off the rest i didnt need after findin how much i would need to screw on the top piece for the plug wire. after that i used a Die and made the threads and then wala its done. takes awhile on the grinder but works great so far after a 1 1/2 yr. and then for the spark plug boot , i just trimmed it to fit.
