header problems?
I had Edelbrock headers in my '82, and didn't have any problems, but I want to run them in my '88. I was just wondering if there are any modifications that I need to make to keep the heat from melting anything? I haven't heard of anybody having any body having any problems, but my friend said that there would be problems.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

As long as nothing is actually touching the headers, I doubt you'll have any real problems. If they worked on the '82, why wouldn't they work on your '88?

The '82 didn't have any a/c or heater, and it was carburated, so there were less wiring harnesses.
I know that on my '73 Nova, the headers melted the plastic inspection cover for the trans, and it wasn't even touching.

Just make sure your timing isnt retarded or theyll melt everything. As long as the motor is running well the exaust is cool enough that nothing will be damaged by the headers.
