Could this be a problem?
I'm going to have a set of 4th gen stainless tips installed next spring. I cut my exsisting tips off (quad tips with a y pipe) and I don't have enough tailpipe to have the 4th gen tips installed. So...I need new exhaust pipes from the muffler too so my tips 4th gen tips will be even with the rear bumper. So, will an exhaust shop be able to install tail pipes from the muffler? The reason I ask is because my exsisting tailpipes are welded on, if those are cut off, how can new tail pipes be welded on? They would just butt up...not slipping over anything thing. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks

and these were the tips I cut off...
