I started construction of my 3" y-pipe tonight. I ordered 3 2.5" J-bends and 3' of 3" 304 SS pipe from Stainless works, as well as a pair of ball-and-socket flanges from Jeg's, and a Mccord e-cutout. I ended up cutting most of the collector off the Hedman headers, as well as about an inch off the end of the socket flange so that the flange plane will be in roughly the same location as before. So far I've got the driver's side collector in place, as well as the portion of the y-pipe that goes around the oil pan. I hope to get the passenger side header pulled tonight, then finish up what I can tomorrow. I'll take some photos tomorrow also of what I've got. It looks like its going to turn out very nice, just need to try out my TIG welding skills on some scrap metal to see if they're good enough for the y-pipe.
