Do I need new exhaust?

Im thinking i need to upgrade to something like this. Question for yall when i had my stealth ram i ran my car with just the y-pipe and headers on and it screamed. Then i went to exhaust shop and put my hooker supercomp catback and a brand new 3inch highflow cat on and the car bogged and ran like crap after that. I could never get it to run right no matter what i did. Could my exhaust have been that restrictive? I am about to put a 144 blower on and think i am going to have real trouble if its true. The car will also be getting a blower grind cam and heads shortly.

what company of cat did u put on? Sounds more like a tunning issue, maybe if possible unhook the catback, and try it out, are u sure its bogging, and just a feeling of not being as loud anymore?

Im not going to be a big help, but sounds like either your "feel" of the car changed or it has become a little more restrictive causing it to not let pressure out of the cylender, maybe cuasing a rich condition? that would also cause bogging? solved by tunning

just my guess

well the cat is supposed to be a 3 inch magnaflow. That the muffler shop said it was hi performance. When i drove the car with the tpi on it and a hollow cat it ran great. Then i put the stealth ram on with just the y-pipe on and it ran like a bat out of hell. Then put the catback on and it ran like crap. If you romped on it the a/f guage would go one dash into rich which is about normal but when u let off the gas you could smell rotten eggs. I also have a cutout on the car just in front of the rear tire and if i had it closed the car would idle great but when i uncapped it the idle would be all over the place. Maybe i just got a screwed up cat. Im just putting the carb setup on and havent fired it yet, so i guess i will see how it runs now with the different setup and if i still have porblems i will put straight pipe in place of the cat.
