Longtubes and t56?
Does anyone know who's car this is? I'd like to mimic their crossmember so I can tuck my LTs up higher. So anyone with measurements, screen names etc, please help.

I'm not sure who's car that is but I'm going to make something like that for my car.... I'm running a LS1/T56 and I used to run a 355TPI/T56 and I always wanted a different x-member than my Spohn one so I'd have more clearance to run LT's... that is a decent design... looks kinda cramped though... I was going to use angle iron to mount to the body and then use some 1/2" thick by 3" wide metal and form some humps in it to clear the pipes like that one, then weld the ends of it to the angle iron and of course have a flat area in the middle to bolt the tranny mount to. I think it will work good and won't be hard to do. I'll probably use my current Spohn one to make a jig from, then make a new x-member to fit the jig. Should be rather easy.... why doesn't anyone make one of these yet? Maybe I should start..... anyone interested in one? They' be pretty cheap....

Is that even a thirdgen? I think it's a 4th gen. The Idea would be the same on a thirdgen, but I dont know if there is enough clearance to get more than 3" pipes wedged in there.

Damn nice pipe work! Awesome ground clearance too... I'd be willing to just buy one of these if someone beats me to making my own.... now I just have to find a place to mount my dual 3" electric cutouts.

D*mn....that's a nice piece of work. I'm designing one now as we speak (I've already designed a 1 piece ATI blower / crank pulley out of 6061 Alum). I'm having mine cut via a lasercutter courtsey of some buddies I used to work with (3/8 steel). I'll weld it up then see if I can find someone to powdercoat for me. I live dealt enough with Spohn performance and like the quality I may ask him to powerdercoat it for me.

Won't give you much room if you are running an auto cause the pan on bottom is so wide. O well, looks like my drag car is gonna have about as much ground clearance as a lowered ferarri.
