Hooker cat back

I called JEGS they told me that part number 520-16823 is a 2.5' exhaust system.

What is the pn for the 3' exhaust system and where can I get it at?

Here's the part number for the systems me and my GF just ordered up for our cars. HOK-16822HKR

3" all the way back, same chrome tips, and same muffler for $215 from summit. It is specified for 82-84, and the only difference I can tell is the flange for the cat is an actual flange, and not a slip on. Not a big deal at all

Have you put the 16822 kit on yet?

Will you do it or a muffler shop?

How do you plan on mating the (slip on)cat to the hooker flange?

I am planning on buying a carsound cat maybe I should get one that is flanged.

cut off the flange and weld it.

If you can't weld, you could always use adapters and clamp it.

Correct. The only difference is the reducer/adapter on the end of the I-pipe where it mates to the cat. My TBI specific cat back is 3" but had a 2.25 reducer on the end to mate with the stock cat.

If you are going with a 3" cat get the TPI specific cat-back. That way you don't have to cut off the reducer.
