Anyone have COATED Hooker super comp shorties???

Just wondering if any of you that have the Hooker Super Comp setup with Y-pipe have had yours coated for the extra $200 or whatever it is.

I am changing my exhaust again and am going to go with the Hooker Super Comp system with a Dynomax Ultra Flo Muffler in place of the stock cat, and an SLP loudmouth with chrome tips.

I may Cut the Hooker Y-pipe at the merge point and install a Flowmaster y-collector in place of the Hooker joint.

I have come to the conclusion that Dual exhaust or 4 inch single exhaust is not necessary unless the car is producing well over 500hp.

I am making 400 RWHP on my 4th gen that has Longtubes into a 3 inch Borla setup.

Inputs/Suggestions?

I have the long tubes, not the shorties. What I can tell you is that you do not want them coated by Holley. Have them done by Jett Hott. Jett carries a much better warranty. I have had my Hookers on for 6,500 miles and they are starting with the surface rust. The coating was gone very quickly.

This compared to two of my other friends who had theirs coated by Jett and have had theres on for 1.5 years, are not even showing signs of rust. Not even where they were dented!

i have the Hooker shorties coated by Jet-Hot. Ive only had them for about 7 months, but the coating still looks solid. I don't really see why you'd want to put a Flowmaster Y-collecter in the y-pipe, its a great piece as it is, but hey if it helps out a little then go for it.

i think i must have had a bad coatin from Jet-Hot. had my long tubes on for about a yr maybe few months more and the coatin on the bottem where the tubes are exposed under the car are completely gone and rusted, mainly surface rust.

im glad i pulled them today and will be sendin them back to Jet-Hot to get them recoated.
