Yes. It's excellent, and I love it. I got mine through Thunder... both Angie and Dave are great too!

Edit: a current sound clip can be found in urbanhunter's exhaust sticky, post #90 here:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/exha...rt-here-2.html

And it has a nice, subtle appearance, like this:

I don't know how it would sound on a V6. Its straight-thru muffler design is for flow, not noise. But if you're slaying V8s, then your V6 is probably pretty strong, so it might sound pretty good.

But this is a full 3" cat-back, from the cat... back... through the pipes. I don't know what your current V6 exhaust set-up is, but you'll likely have to change something to go with a 3" cat-back.

About the cats, they're supposedly better than others, and the people at Random Tech are very confident about that. I'm running one, it works well, and I like it.

Their exhaust system is awesome, and I'll stand on the highest soapbox and recommend it to anyone! The people at Random Technology are great, and I really respect them. They were VERY helpful with me during my install. And Thunder Racing is the place to buy from. They're great too!

But you're right, the cats seem a bit expensive. I don't mind that for myself because it's my own choice to spend that kind of money, but I can't tell someone else to do it. They're good, and they probably sell well, but I wish they were more price-competitive. If they were, they'd probably sell a lot more than they already do.

But you don't have to get their cat. A nice thing about the Random Tech cats and cat-backs, they're designed for a no-modification-required, stock fit. So any brand of cat should work.
