Tips Just For Looks? Or Sound Too?
Hey, I just wanna know something...
Do exhaust tips change the sound much? Or is it just for looks only?
I just got my Hooker catback about a week ago, but I just don't like the split tips that come with it... so I got a pair of chrome 3" slash-cut tips for it.
Are these tips going to change the sound of the system much, compared to the split tips that the Hooker comes with? What kind of difference in sound will my new tips make (if any)?

I put 3.5" tips that are 20" on a 2.5" system, and it makes em louder. I'm sure if you got some shorter tips you wouldn't notice hardly anything, especially if there the same size as your current system.

This is what I got... 2.5" inlet, 3" out. Ignore the stickers, they are still wrapped... I dont wanna take em out till I'm ready to use them
Would tips like these (16" long btw) change the sound much?

Those will change it. Mine was for the better, it just made it louder but kept close to the same definition. Just tack one one before you weld em' and see if you like it, everyones different.
