backfiring & wants to die on a cold start
I'm new to this stuff, but am tired of spending so much $ at the garages for them to try to figure stuff out that I thought I had better do a little homework on what some of the causes of my problems could be.
When I start the car cold and start driving and have to stop the car, it wants to stall (but doesn't if I give it a little gas) then when I take off, it seriously bogs down & almost dies (tricky if a car is coming
then its o.k. Can anyone tell me why?
The car then will also fackfiring (a combination of pops or super duper loud, headturning bangs) when the car deaccelerates or when I shift. I've checked previous posts and found out possible causes could be the cat (mine was gutted last summer, although it did it before but I think it is a wee worse) I had exhaust work done last summer also (it was still backfiring b/f that) Could it still be the cat or holes in the exhaust?
Please, please, please any info appreciated
