Should it look like this???
After 3 weeks
I finally recieved one of the Dynomax intermediate pipes that I ordered (part # WLK-43248) and here's what it looks like...
I ordered it from Summit Racing and it's a 3in. mandrel bend. Is there suppose to be a huge crush in the center of the pipe??

It's there to clear the panhard bar support.
I thought of that as well, but I tried to test fit it and there is, at the very least, an extra inch and a half of room to play with.
Does anyone know if this crush will have a negative impact on the inside diameter of the pipe?
Also, if anyone has this same part on their car your help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have an old dynomax 3" mandrel bent kit, and it looks just like yours.
Could you jam 3" in there without the dent? probably
They sell it this way so the average joe can stick it in with no rattles. The inside diameter of the pipe will look just like the outside diameter, and will flow just fine. I'm at 350 to the rear wheels, and doubt it would make any difference if I changed that one small dent. Put it on and enjoy.

Thats the way they make them and some other manufacturors. I have the 3.50" Mufflex system and it does not have the flat spot. I will be having it installed on my car in June. Allen

Thanks for all the replies. I guess I'll be installing everything as soon as I have the other intermediate pipe. Good to know that the flow will not be affected. Thanks again, Josh.
