Where to find good headers?

Im looking for headers on my 91 5.7 dual cat car. Im looking for some that are smog legal, 1"3/4 and coated. I also wanted to know if the Electric Exhaust Cut-Offs are worth the money. Thanks for the advice in advance.

If you want 1 3/4" primary shorty headers that are ceramic-coated, then your only choice is SLP's. They make them for the dual cat cars as well.

Read the sticky threads at the the top of this board for more information.

They used to make them for dual cats. They still have an installation kit for dual cats, but it appears you have to modify their one-cat y-pipe in order to do it. If that's even possible.

I suggest you give them a call and find out what the scoop really is.

Wow, I had either forgotten or never heard that SLP had decided to phase-out the dual cat headers. Thanks for the correction Five7.

Has there been a thread concerning the modification of the y-pipe for the single cat version so as to use it on a N10 exhaust?

If you don't need dual cats for visual inpsection, I would just run a large single cat. It will be cheaper and perform the same way.

Even if you live in a place with visuals they only check to see if there is a cat, most of the people working there will have no clue if it is supposed to be a dual or single cat car. As long as it has one they are happy. Im going to do that myself once i get my headers. Im getting hooker 2055 with their Y-pipe and calling it good
