Leaky headers, tried everything.

I bought the pacesetter headers for the 305tbi. THey are good upto 400 horses(what they said on the phone). And due to inadequate tools I had to have it done at the shop. However, when I got it back they told me that they were afraid that its going to leak. So, I looked underneath and I saw that they just screwed on one side of my left collector and left the other side loose. Not even a fricking screw on there. Ofcorse this messed up the gasket and I tried putting in some of that welding crap that comes in the tube and hardens pretty good. It did help a lot but I belive I need a new gasket. So where do I find a decent gasket, and what do you suggest I do to test my exaust for leaks. Especially the headers collectors and the y-pipe?
