issues with 3 inch catback

im dropping my car off tonight to get the exhaust done tommorow. i have a 3 inch, long style dynomax bullet but when i called the place the guy (who comes highly recomended by hotroders and racers alike) said he wasnt sure if he could get the 3 inch tubing up over the rear. i really hope he can because i allready bought the muffler i while back and obviously i want the hi flow pipe.

i thought 3 inch was pretty common? is there a mod you have to do first??

If you're speaking of the intermediate pipe, the 3 inch will fit. I'm running a Hooker cat-back with no problems.

Yep, three inch mandrel bent all the way, though there is a bit of an indentation in the pipe where it goes up over the axel.

cool im good then. this guy is realllly cheap like less then 100 for this setup but its not mandrel bet its somewhat like crush tube but with one steady indent, less intrusive.

Considering that 3" cat backs came factory on the L98 cars and you can fit a 4" pipe on a lowered car, this guy is being a PITA.

Just throwing out some info. I once measured the L69 intermediate pipe, the same system used on L98s, I believe, and it was only 2 3/4. Some after market cat-backs, like the Hooker I'm using, do measure 3 inches.
