anything sounds better than the LM, imo. Just a $100 peice of 14 inch pipe. Have you ever seen one? it's ridiculous, just a hollow peice of pipe, not even tuned like the XR-1 or bullet muffler.

You'll like the tsp, they sound great!!

I know,my friend has a 99 trans am with the loudmouth and its just all volume.Atleast the TSP will have some tone to it.I know it wont make my tbi sound like a 12 second terror, but now i'll be able to give the impression that its fast.....lol,And for over 100.00 less than the loudmouth you cannot beat it

Eventually i wanna replace it with a high flow. But for now,i think im gonna cut the flange off the cat,and weld a reducer to connect the exhaust pipe to the cat.Depends how hard this catback is gonna be to fab up.Does that sound like it would work?

it might. You would probably be better off having an exhaust shop fab this up for you though.

At the same time see if you can get them to put flanges on the cat so that you could stick a pipe in there. That's what I did and it sounds great with my bullet.

Do you mean flanges to go from the 3 inch rumbler exhaust to the stock 2 1/4 cat?Is that possible?

I have flanges on my Y-pipe's collector where the cat attaches too, and another flange where the cat ends on the catback. I then got a pipe fabbed up with flanges on it just like the cat, and bolted it in place.

I will post a clip as soon as I put it on my car.I think I'm gonna have a shop fab it up for me.....but i do know a few people who weld that would probably do it for cheap. How much do you guys think a shop would charge me?

probably an hours labor. Most shops will charge between 75-100 an hour, depending on their location.

Exhaust still hasn't come in yet,I guess its because of texas and the hurricane victims being shipped there.Anyone know if this will sound even in the ballpark of the ls1 cars with the same system?

No. Gen III(LS1) and Gen I(YOU) completely different animals. But it could sound better or worse depending on your motor and what kind of work has been done.

the reason i ask is because i listened to a sound clip on the sounds section of on here of a stock 305 with the loudmouth and it sounded not too bad,so i figured mine should sound about the same.
