Exhaust Manifold Problems (2.8L)

my old exhaust manifolds were pretty much rotted so I mail ordered a new pair from a yard in oklahoma. me and a friend of mine put the new ones on and he used some loctite on the new bolts. well the exhaust is starting to get loud again, and i'm noticing a pop-pop sound coming from the exhaust on acceleration. anyone know why these things are happening? if I get under and retighten the manifold/y-pipe bolts, will the exhaust get quieter at all? thanks.

It might be one of the exhaust donuts that goes between the end of the manifold and your exhaust pipe. Have you checked that?

lol this problem has long been fixed. sorry for not notifying you guys. it was actually both manifolds just rotted from 21 years of use. genuine GM parts, take 21 years to rot. pretty impressive.
