Magnaflow 4th gen exhaust fit a 3rd gen?
I was curious if a magna flow exhaust for a 4th gen (94 to 97) camaro exhaust would fit a 3rd gen camaro? I want a stainless steel exhaust, but don't want to spend 800+ on a borla. Does magnaflow sell an exhaust system for a 3rd gen? I can't seem to find it?

I asked the same question on LS1tech.com and everyone said no becuase the exhaust routing is different. Hope that helps, I haven't seen a Magnaflow or loudmouth for 3rd gens and have always wondred how people have got one on their thir gen.

Yeah, I was thinking the routing would be different. You would have to fab it alot I guess. If they made a 3rd gen kit, they would make so much money!!!!!!!!

You need to weld new hangers on, and get a bend to turn the exhaust to face the cat, the SLP " 3"slip fit" cat adapter works good for this.

it fits, you need to make your own hanger on the passengers side. I used a universal hanger from advance and tacke it to the tailpipe and on the drivers side I used the mount from a 4th gen. Everything else is the same. I used the magnaflow kit I found used and a pair of Corsa tips.

it's all the same, the intermediate pipe that goes over the axle is identical. The muffler is the same and so are the tails. Just need to make a hanger for the passengers side.

I'll get pics tonight if I remember. All the parts are the same. I used a universal hanger from advance. It's got a stip of metal with holes in it that you bolt to the body. Use a different hole to get the height you want (levels out the muffler ). Then there's a rubber isolator and a small piece of metal that you're supposed to use a U-bolt clamp to attatch it to the tailpipe. I didn't use the clamp but I just tack welded it to the tailpipe. Like I said, I used the passengers side mount from the 4th get I took the exhaust off of.

Forgot all about the thread, sorry. I've got a pic but not of underneath the car. I'll see if I can get a better one for you.

You don't want a full Corsa setup. The mufflers suck and they're expensive. I'm a little south of Baltimore in Severn. Near Ft. Meade and Arundel Mills.

Unless you've got an LS1, its going to sound completely different.

When I first picked it up I had the Corsa muffler on it and it sounded better than the magnaflow. But then the muffler fell apart and they wouldnt replace it since I'm not the original purchaser.
