From what Ive been reading, Dynomax is pretty much one of the quietest mufflers out there. But which one is the quietest? Super turbo, ultra flo?

BTW, Some specs on the engine:
Vortec 383
comp 230/236 @.050", 490" 110LSA
Hedman 68470 shorties
Hedman Y-pipe

Im going for the ever dying sleeper look. A rumble would be nice, but nothing like a bullet or flowcrapper kind of sound.

 

ultraflow is probably the louder of the dynomax mufflers, and i'm 99% sure the super turbo would be the quietest :-)
I like your idea for the super-sleeper, too, I'm selling my firebird but the next car I get (*ustang) is gonna have dynomax exhaust :-)
I thought it would be cool, though, to build a fast chevy and get a vanity plate "SBD-SBC" (Silent but deadly small block chevy)

I havent heard any ultra flows in person, but the forman at my shops fot a 70s T/A BB, solif lift cam, pretty well built (11s all motor in the 1/4), and hes runnin the super turbos. Very quiet, I just didnt know if they were in fact the quietest or if there were others that were better. Ive even heard that they flow pretty damn good. Good flow and quiet?! Ding ding, I think we might have a winner!

 

my friend has a 71' Mach 1 with a 351C and some dynomax mufflers and it's quite as hell. He hates it. He sped in front of a cop on accident and the cop didn't care. I thought for sure we were going to get busted, but no! With the windows down and him punching it you can hear the engine but not the exhaust.
