N10 Flow

Still have questions about the N10 dual cats. Does the dual cat setup flow any better?

How well does the aftermarket/stock dual cat setup have the ability to flow. Catco makes a dual cat setup but only has 2.5" exit tubing. What have people been doing with the dual cats, ditching them, upgrades, etc. It's bothering me and I need to know.

I'm running the dual cat setup. It is with 2 1/2" pipes that currently Y into a 3" pipe. Here in Southern California most that I know are going to the dual cat setup for the better flow.

By the way I will be changing the dual 2 1/2" pipes into a 3" pipe to the Mufflex system with dual 2 1/2" pipes into a 3 1/2 inch pipe.

I don't see how much of a restriction you can be avoiding. With a quality high-flow 3" cat instead of a 3" pipe, someone lost only like 1HP and a few (like less than a handful) ft-lbs of torque. One 3" cat means you're only replacing one when it goes out instead of 2, and it opens up your choice of headers/exhaust a bit, depending on which manufacturers make kits for the 1-cat/2-cat cars.
