Clearance issue
I’m looking for suggestions. I have SLP headers, Trick Flow (angle plug) heads and shorty spark plugs. My problem is that one plug (#8 of course the hardest to reach) comes into contact with the header hence melts the boot. I have 90* boots because any other style would run right across the header. Just the corner of the boot touches the header, but enough to melt through in a few minutes. What would you do? I really don’t want to alter the headers or buy new ones. Would header wrap on that down tube and a boot insulator be able to protect it you think? I know somebody has had to have a similar problem some time here. Any help is greatly appreciated.
