If, by 'y pipe cars' you mean dual cat cars, this won't help you much, but this is in place of my cat when I had it mocked up before proper welding..

I have mine right before the cat, welded on the end of my hedman y-pipe. It's my econo-catback. Instead of spending 300 on a catback and another 100 on a highflow cat... I just got a 30 dollar cut out. 3 wing nuts and I am ready to race.
