Exhaust

Has any one tried taking the hooker Y pipe and basically dismantled it to make dual 3" exhaust with the flowmaster bullet racing mufflers and placing the bullets where the single cat would fit on passenger side then running duals out the back 3"

I have no idea where you're going with this.

The y-pipe is 2.5" from each side, joining together into a 3" pipe that goes to the cat. How you would dismantle that and make dual 3" is escaping me.

Dual 2.5", yes, you could do that.

Reguarding Y-Pipe

Go to muffler shop and have them make it basically taking the design of the y-pipe and bringing the three inch pipe from drivers side just like the y-pipe and bring the passenger side pipe down from the collector and them bring them back under passenger side seat where the cat is supposed to be attach the 2 short tube mufflers and run duals back from there.

The pipe from the driver's side is 2.5". So is the pipe from the passenger side. It isn't 3" until they come together.

You could cut off the "Y", put 2.5" pipes to 2.5" bullets where the cats live, and go dual 2.5" from there.

3" duals isn't in the cards. That's larger than the header collectors.

Do you already have the 2055's?

Collectors

I am sorry but my primaries are 1 5/8 and I have 3" collectors on my headers. So if i have a 3" pipe made to follow the same track as the Y-pipe from the driver's side and bring down the 3" pipe from the passenger side collector I beleive I can run 3" all the way back.
