stupid peice of crap y pipe contacts my frame by the passenger side tire, what have you guys done to fix this? at idle i hear it rattling against it.

 

what headers are you using? if it is the headmen one i just ground dound the flange, thats were mine was hitting. fixed the problem, and i am using the copper gaskets to compinsate for the loss of flange space

 

its not the flange at the header its the y pipe itself where it turns into one pipe. that part rubs against the frame. its annoyin

 

Although I don't have these headers on, I had an incident after going over an intersection and the exhaust hitting the small curb. After that it made those same kind of noices you describe, but the solution to it were quite simple. I went to a garage, and they simply took a crowbar and bendt it clear. Free of charge!

I did however ok it first though, they were a bit sceptical themselves. Works fine today, two years after.
