hey guys i was busy deleting my smog pump and all the air lines today and was wondering how did you get the air line on the the passenger side to the catalytic converter out.

I wasn't able to get mine off yet it's being a real p.i.t.a.

I can see the little round clip going around the air tube up top near the head but, i can't figure out how to get it to open up because, of it's placement. Should be an easy answer to this but, i'm not having the best luck today.

Anyways if i can't get an answer today i'll post the answer tomorow for any1 else wondering.

I was looking at the AIR feed line to the cat on my '83 Z28 today.I didn't get a chance to look close becuase it started raining here.If you want it out and not re-using it the maybe take it out in pieces.

yah i didn't care about it and did cut it as far up as i could with a sawzall same with as far back as i could up top. I just thought today that i could probably use a pipe cutter on them so i plan to try that tonight if i can get it to stop raining here......

small update, i was able to cut the pipe off where i think i can pull it out now *crosses fingers*. after pulling the valve cover I had a lot more room to cut at it. With any luck hopefully i can get it done as of tomorow (ran out of daylight today and need a jack to get it out which i'll hopefully have 1 that works tomorow)..... Then again it's suppose to rain again i beleive and i also need to go buy a serpentine belt tomorow and check for leeks and problems after intalling pipe plugs in place of manifolds and getting rid of air lines and putting new valve covers and water pump on *crosses fingers again hehe*.
