a few questions...

Knowing me, it would take a week to install headers and a ypipe. Being as this is my only car, I don't have the time and I'd rather just pay. I was wonder if anyone has paid to have someone do this and, if so, what a reasonable price would be (so I know when I start calling around).

Also, I've heard of people using two sets of gaskets to prevent leaks. I have two sets, along with the locking bolts for the headers. Are there any other tricks to prevent exhaust leaks? I'm gonna be pretty pissed if I've gotta it all again.

Thanks

I called one place I go to, he said no problem. Cost is anywhere from $125 (assuming things go smoothly) to $250 (if he breaks a bolt or something). Sounds like a deal to me.

What headers do you have? Unless you have a super cheap set (dynomax or Blowtechs) you should be okay with one gasket.

A shop will charge $50 an hour or so for labor and a header install can take four to eight hours depending on the shop. You will more than likely pay more for labor than you did on the headers themselves.

I think that first quote you got sounds pretty reasonable. Hopefully nothing goes wrong and the cost stays in that range.
