First off, I may or may not hold on to my third gen. It's brought me a lot of grief but atleast it was cheap. It needs a new exhaust system. It's smoking out the back, and it smells like it'll eat all the tree huggers on the planet.

But if I do keep my Iroc-Z, I might do something nuts like drop an LS1 into it. If so, what muffler sounds good with both the 305 tpi and an LS1? I want this to be a long term setup so I don't have to change the exhaust If I swap and if I sell it I don't have to worry at all about it how the buyer thinks it sounds with the current engine.

Was my post in anyway confusing? I searched and didn't find anything about an exhaust that works well with both a tpi and an lSX engine. Does anyone have an LS1 in their car and run a 3rd gen exhaust? Thanks

 

any catback made for 1982-2002 will work on your car and work with both LSX and your current motor the 1993-2002 catbacks will require hanger relocation tho other than that its all good.
