exhaust question

what is a decent breathing room size for 275-300 hp? would 2 1/2 do. or 3? i can but a complete kit for the 2 1/2 for 250 dollars where the exhaust shop wants 550 for a 3 inch

You might as well go with 3". You can pick up a 3" Flowmaster cat-back system that would do what you need for just over $300.
