3" y-pipe question

So I want a 3" y-pipe, and through all my searches my two main options are getting the 2055's and cutting off the air tubes and welding on the O2 plug, or get the 2460's with the y-pipe they make for them. Problem with the 2460's is that I would have to cut it up and weld on 3" tubing. Do I have any other options? I can't afford the SLP's, unless I wait a few months. Problem there is that I put Vortecs, cam, intake on my 305 and I really hate to run the stock TBI crap on it unless I have to, spring is only a month away!! Are Y-pipes easy for exhaust shops to fab, or is that more of a specialized thing? Any other opinion's appreciated! Cat back is random 3" if it matters.

Thanks, Matt

Get the opinions of locals on where to go . The SLP y pipe is small too. But I am sure there is a reason for it .

Sounds like you got the others figured out

Happy modding !

I have the SLP 3005C Headers and Y-Pipe. Headers are 1.75" Primaries. Y-Pipe is 3" on all 3 sides.

Are the slp y pipes true 3 inch? As far as I heard 3 inch pipe wont fit between the k member and oil pan.

The SLP 1 3/4 inch headers have a 2 1/2" collector. I don't care for that in the least. It should be a 3" collector.

You can get the "Y" itself from Flowmaster. They make a nice one. Then have the local shop fabricate up the rest. That's what have done and will do on my next go around.
