Now what does the non-tuned mean? Anyone install these? Are they any good? I won't be lowering the car, but just want maximum performance. I am doing a stock head swap (Lb9 heads for L98 heads on my 350 block) and would this make doing LT header install easier?

I was thinking of doing the swap like this:

removing intake and heads, dropping LT's down and tie-ing them to the side of the engine bay, putting the L98 heads on and then bolting up the headers. Is that a good way?

Also, where is that one page where someone bought pre-made exhaust pipes, x-pipe, mini mufflers for like $330?

Thanks!!

Good header...... I bought the Elite 68478 they came coated..... The collector sits up high enough that you won't have to worry about clearance problems but I do hope that you have a manual transmission cause I have an auto and had to fabricate my own Y-Pipe I didn't think the stock y-pipe routing was any good, and because the tranny pan is so wide it's a tight fit. Way easier on a std tranny
The way you described to put them in sounds good to me......
Oh and the "tuned part" is an exhaust thing..... if all primary lengths are the same they cause a tuned effect at a certain RPM if memory serves me.... this will help scavenge and draw a new fresh intake charge into an adjacent cylinder. Hooker super compitition headers are suposed to be equal length and therefore "TUNED" but I doubt that within our engine bays they could be equal length. You would want each primary to be within 1"
I was gonna get the Super Comps but they are Big$ and you only have a choice of 1 1/2 or 1 7/8 primary sizes
Hope that helps

Thanks guys. I do have an auto.

Mw66Nova, is your car an auto? I forgot to ask you that question about fabbing that exhaust you have. Will those parts work fine with an auto, or will I need to look for another peice?
