get a big ****in cam with straight pipes and you'll be a little closer. but the only way to get the sound of cubic inches is to.... well, get them.

Meh that's not a big block, that's a 218/228 cammed small block that sounds like it's running straight pipes

Your MPG is going to depend on how you drive. If you drive the same, it won't change more than 1-2 mpg.

Get rid of your single exhaust. Dual exhaust with a crossover will ALWAYS sound best. Keep the pipe length short and run little to no pipe after the mufflers.

i agree.. go true duals with some kind of single chambered muffler like a spintech or single chambered flowmaster. or go dynomax bullet or chambered tube muffler like sweet thunder or such.

dumps after the mufflers...that will get u a deep bassy idle like those big block cars

higher compression and big duration cam will help also. gas mileage will suffer some.. stock L98's are like 18 mpg daily driving with abit of spirit. thats where mine is. highway its more like 23-24. a good heads cammed combo should make 13-15mpg. not bad but not great either. good tuned combos will do 15-17 daily driving.

heres evilcartmens car
http://nvlsonline.org/camarosite/video/ecz28camaro.mp3

forget the specs but its a 294 advertised duration cam... its got a mean racey idle

i have heard 87 TA's car. it has a built 406 with miniram and big solid roller cam. on 150shot it has gone 10.09 at 132. it has a nice deep tone to it.

IMHO carbs sounds lightyears better then FI, hands down. Carbs lend themselves more to the rumble, and I associate that with larger cubes. I've heard decently large engines with good exhaust, and they sound too smooth, like a engine. Not my flavor.
