Most people will tell you to get a 3" I-pipe but the choise of muffler is up to you...Hooker, Dynomax, Flowmaster, ect. What do you mean by "killer system"? Some people on this board have even gotten pretty good about not telling you to get one system over another, and thats because many realize that the sounds is completely Subjective, and cannot be catagorized as being an objective element.

ExhaustSoundClips.com ..::UP load YOURS!::.. - Hear It Before You Buy It!

Listen to a few of them, this will help with kind of finding what your wanting as far as sound. You have to knowtice if it has a cam/built engine as well.

As far as performance Hooker 2210 long tubes, or Hedman Long tubes will work on a tight budget. Search for both, theres install guides for both.

For a near stock 305 I would recomend, if budget allows, Hooker 2210, Mufflex Y pipe, 3" mandrel bent exhaust, with muffler of coice, or a off the shelf catback. This also all depends on what your emissions are like where you are.

My system is a 3'' edelbrock rpm catback on a 305 TBI (otherwise stock) I dont hear anything else in my area that sounds like it, unlike when i had my flowmaster 80.. There is a clip of it here geocities.com/imadude_134/rpm.avi Watchout, its kinda big, so if ur on dialup, beware....
