IIRC, the dual cat set-up only made 10hp over stock. For the money involved, you might simply consider a high-flow cat and catback.

To answer your question it is no hard to do. Dyno Don does it all the time at his shop. The more mods you have the more horsepower will get from the mod.

Catco is another possibility.

Its rated at 10 HP over stock, but that doesnt mean that's what it really is. Which would you rather have, 4 pipes flowing thru 2.5", or 8 pipes flowing thru 3"? Doing the math, two 2.5" has more area than one 3", right? The hardest part about doing the dual-cat conversion is finding the dual-cat AIR pipe, as its discontinued. The other part is the cost. You need to pay a muffler shop to fabricate you a 2.5" mandrel bent y-pipe to go with your 2.5" cats. I second the Magnaflow recommendation.

So what is the real hp gain, 15 or 20? And what would the 3-incher gain? I guess, for me, the real question is cost vs. performance between the the two. I have doubts that the difference would be significant enough to merit the expense--for me personally, at any rate. I'm sure there are others who want every every bit of hp they can muster and who are willing to pay for it. Good for them.
