need ideas to help protect my plug wires ends

Im tired of buying new wires and I need some suggestions for delfecting some of theheat away from the plug boots. I already have those 6" wire protectors on there but its not enough. The worse two wires are the 5 and 7. The number 7 boot is right on the header tube. I am already running accell shorty plugs as well. Im sure that my SLP headers and angle plug heads are not helping either. Would those aluminum plug boots found on the newer Fbodies help at all? also, which wires withstand the most heat? Im running MSD wires now.

sorry, no pics of my problem. Im gonna try and use those aluminum heat shield found on the newer cars along with the boots and see what happens. My next solution is either new heads and or new headers. OUCH

Everytime I used MSD wires on my car they burnt up. I used Accel Spiral racing wires, and took some rubber hose, and cut it about 3-4 inches. And then cut it lenght wise so it can slide over my wires. Haven't had a problem in years.

MSD Wires

I'm assuming you are using the MSD wires with 90 deg. boots? If not, that's what you need. I'm running them with a set of SLP 1-3/4" headers and stock heads. No problem for me. I've got about 6,000 miles since I installed the headers and wires. I'm also running standard length plugs.
