Yes another LT Hedman and T5 story
I started on the install of my LT's yesterday......I removed all my plugs, then removed the hooker 2460's I had on the car.......I started on the passenger side as I have seen some people had to gring on the a arm support....well I removed the starter and she slid right in....wow almost like it was made for my car.......I then installed my fullsize starter....yes fullsize....she fit in no problems.......well next came the dreaded driverside......sure enough the ball flange hit the slave cylinder.......I will be adding some pipe to it as soon as I can.......in the mean time I'll be working on the cross member.......I'll update as I go.

....well I did some cutting, grinding, heating, hammering, and bending.......I had to cut about 1/4 in. off of the lower a-arm on the driverside.....still hitting on the slave cyl........I then took a hand file to the bellhousing to see if I could make just enough room for the ball flange......nope(not yet)....then I put a jack in the headers and heated them slow and evenly put a little pressure on them.....some more heat......I got them to move a little bit.....then I tested them again.....close ,but still not yet..........I'm trying a combination of what every one else has done.....just a little bit of this one and a little bit of that as verses dinting the hell out of the header/cutting alot on my car.......I'll let you guys know more info. as I get it.....

O.K.....I had to cut the ball flange off,but I'll be adding in some pipe and I'll put a small controled dent in it....not beat it with a hammer......I also finished my tranny crossmember....look at the last two pics.....

Thankx.......I was asked about reproducing the crossmember.....I can build two more with the material I have on hand for $100 each spray painted black or yellow as for powder coating etc. the only place here that can do it deals with large orders and there min. is $100 so I can build it and ship to your powder coater or you for inspection etc.

I have a NWC t5 that needs rebuilt that you can have.It doesn't have to have a full rebuild, but it would be a good idea as the "dog ears" for 3rd gear broke off and caused it to lock into 4th.......
