which do you think will sound better an 80 series or just let the exaust dump out at the cat. ive had 2 v8 fdodies with the exaust ending at the cat and i enjoyed it very much. im just at a crossroads here. i want the best sound possible and i wont get hassled for not having a muffler so thats not an issue.

just need some oppinions here

btw the motor is a 305 tpi all stock

Headers with a 3" y-pipe into a high flow cat then dump. Sounds pretty sweet on mine.

have you gone for emissions with that? on my other ones i never had to take them for emissions testing after i had the exaust like that because one got totaled and the other i sold. i know in illinois at least there is no law requiring a muffler for emissions and im just curious if the test facilities can still test the exaust with the pipe ending before the middle of the car.

Its actualy illegal here because it doesn't exit behind the rear of the doors. I have a cat back system for it. It just sounds so nice I probaly won't put it on untill I get a call for emissions hehe.
