muffler questions

hey guys i have a 89 TA with a bone stock 305tpi and i am about to replace my muffler with an aftermarket one. my i-pipe is 2.75' so im going to go for a muffler with a 3' inlet and dual 2.5' outlets. im kinda on a budget so no borla's or corsa or anything for me.. i was trying to decide between flowmaster 80 series, hooker aerochamber or a magnaflow.. any opinions? also some places that i can find some good prices on these? thanks alot!

Hey TA, if you want to hear some IROCs and TAs with different performance mufflers check out the audio clips under media on the home page. I am in the same perdicament as you, brother. A couple of weeks ago my 88 IROC developed a biscuit sized hole on top of the stock muffler. So I have been searching all over this website and IROCZONE.com as well as elsewhere trying to find facts, figures and soundbytes on performance mufflers. So far, I have found tons of muffler manufacturers out there, some that I never knew existed! Also, I have been hearing a lot about flowmaster, hooker and spintech. I am still undecided myself, and I'm trying to make the perfect choice here in a muffler, tailpipes and tips because I have a very limited budget and can't afford to get something cruddy. Good luck with the search, hopefully you get the muffler you are looking for.
