broke a manifold bolt in the head.
I decided to install my hooker headers today.
Everything proceeded ok till one bolt broke off flush in the head, then I drilled it and was using an easy-out style bit and that broke off. Any ideas?
This is the left bolt on the #2 cylinder.
Do you think the headers with copper gaskets will hold ok with only 5 bolts on the pass side?

Mine only has 5 bolts on each side. There is something in the holes and i am going to wait till the crappy paper gaskets blow b4 i redo them.

One trick that I use that seems to work very well for removing broken bolts is using a wire/mig welder weld a nut onto the broken bolt.....poor some water on it befor it cools.......then remove.
Good luck,
Mike
