headers

i was wondering what kind of headers i should get. i was looking at the emission compatible headers from hooker HOK-2055HKR, but would i get better performance without the emissions part of it. I would like to have a ceramic coating on them too. well for i cars i have noticed that most seem to use the shortys, is ground clearance an issue with the super comp headers. when i get these headers, i would like to go to a true dual setup.

My smog pump makes a lot of noise and actually i dont have the small tube going into my cat anymore anyway, so i figured i would just take it off, plus one less belt would be good and with one less circulating think, might free up some performance, not enough to tell i know if any.

the cars computer doesnt monitor the emissions does it, so if i were to take the pump off it wouldnt pull a code would it. i would like to clean up my engine bay a lot especially on the passenger side without pulling any codes

hey bud, i am looking for the same thing, but i do know one answer to your problem, i am like 99% sure you cant get dual on your car, and if you do i think they can only be like 2 or 2.5s, thats from what i herd anyway, i am looking into the same stuff, if you want to put headers on you get to get rid of all that immisions ****, the egr valve and tubes get in the way of the headers, if you find and maps on how you do this, plz tell me i am in the same boad as you...forgot to mention, i got a 92, so it might be different from yours, and if you live in the states, look into the emmitions ****, i dunno if you can take it off
