Got my Hookers installed, now car sounds like a mustang
I finally got my hooker 2460's installed with a custom y-pipe that y's behind the tranny and my car has the exhaust tone of a mustang.
I'll have some sound clips tomorrow from teh Auto-x so you can hear the strangeness.
My car does seem to pull a little harder in the upper rpms, 2500-5K.
Only issue I have is the 2" of ground clearance for the y-pipe and only 5 header bolts holding the pass side header on. other than that, it's pretty nice.

I don't want it to sound like a mustang, even though mustangs sound pretty good. I just thought it was weird that it sounds like one.
and ya, I broke an exhaust bolt in the head and couldn't get it out.
I am slated to get an L98 from an 87 Vette in a week and a half so I'll probably put those heads on now and then rebuild the L98's bottom end and drop that in in the fall. I can't wait.
