Ground clearance problems

Hey guys, I've got a 92' camaro z28 and I put a set of hooker super comps on it with 3 inch pipes and I've been having ground clearance issues with my mufflers. I've got flowmaster super 40 mufflers and their 5 inches thick. I like the sound and do not want to get rid of these mufflers. I was wondering if any of you have done this before and if so how you ran your exhaust, where did you put your mufflers, what kind of mufflers did you go with. Any help appreciated, thanks.

well where did you put your mufflers?, if you're running true duals chances are you're gonna have ground clearance issues no matter what.

I actually had the same problem. However in my case, I hit a raised manhole cover and ripped off one of my 40 Series. My solution was Spintech's 3'' oval tubing and their mufflers. It's only 3'' thick as compared to the 5'' with the Flowmaster. Believe it or not...the Spintechs sound better than the Flowmasters in my opinion.

I'd say your best bet is to mount your two mufflers horizontally where the original muffler was and just dump behide your wheel. The only way I see getting clearance with duals...

PS thats what I did with my system except its a single 40 horizontal.
