o2 bung , is the the right part ?
ordering the hedman 68470 headers and matching y-pipe and just wanted to confirm that this is the right O2 bung for the install.
Hedman Weld-In O2 Sensor Bungs: HED-15205 - summitracing.com
do i need one for each side ?? i see from a search that some people weld it into the y-pipe. any advantages / disadvantages to either inastall. on a std manifold set up are there bungs in either manifold ?
any pics would be good.

I bought a cheap 02 bung, it was like $2 from summit and it works the same. Stock TPI has 1 bung on the drivers side manifolds so that's all you need unless your setup is modified or if you plan on running a wideband. Ideally you'd want your bung closer to the engine, the reading can be less accurate in the y-pipe since the gases cool as they move through the pipes. I have hedman long tubes and the bung is welded in the collector.

I guess the question is...Do the threads match?
I have no idea of what the stock threads are though...Sorry.
My suggestion is to by a parts store, and see if you can determine what the threads are on a stock sensor.

Wideband
you can tell by my reaction , i run a stock TPI
Okay so i'll place the bung in the header collector on the drivers side. so the only thing i need to find out is the thread type of my std sensor ???

With stock TPI, wideband isn't neccessary.
Unless if you are planning on some serious custom chip tuning, wideband isn't needed.

i bought the ones for my V6 headers at Autozone.. they're just spark plug anti-fowlers with the right threads. Just gotta cut a little off the end and clean out any burrs with the dye grinder. Worked perfect.
