just put a cat back on my 91 rs camaro

i have a 91 camaro RS, and when i bought it it had a pipe going from the cat about 3 feet back and took a 90 degree curve comming out right before the rear passenger tire. actually it was 2 pipes comming out in front of the tire. Anyways i put a cat-back exhaust on it, ( a cheap one from carquest) with a no name performance muffler, i'm just curious what kind of changes in torque and horse power i'll get any replies would be appreciated. i feel like i cant accelerate as fast but i can pick up faster at higher RMP's

none. You might feel something, but for all intensive purposes, nothing. From what you said, looks like you lost a bit of torque and gained a bit of HP. Might all just be mental though. Happens a lot.

If that is all you did, in all honesty you might have gained 5HP at best.

If your new exhaust has mandrel tubing (larger than 2.25") and a free flowing muffler than you did gain power. Although small, it still adds up in the end.
