i've got a 305 tbi w/ stock manifolds and exhaust piping and i put a dynomax thrush glasspack in along the driveshaft, w/ no muffler behind it, it sounds pretty good, i dunno what it would sound like with a set of headers on a 350. i'll see if i can get some kind of clip on here for you

Try going to google video and typing in bullet muffler and you will get a bunch of video clips of it. Also try moroso spirals while your at it.

loud....very loud. annoyingly loud. the exhaust note will vary from car to car depending on motor/cam/heads/etc so it really won't tell you one way or the other. I have true duals with spiralflows and it's loud, so loud I tried putting fullsize mufflers under the car last night, but couldn't get them where I wanted them.

johnnyboy, same setup here, until today, when I put the intermediate pipe extension in as well, Thursh Magnum is still in the same location, but what makes it sound good for you, and what did it for me, was that the muffler dumped right underneath the car

now .. it's toooo quiet for me

i wasn't really looking for loud, but more of a rumble. it did the job but maybe i'll take the rest of the pipe from behind the muffler off to see how it sounds. i have a sound clip of it now but its too nig to attach on here. i'll try streetfire

Weird, mine sounded more mellow and deep than that. 2.5 version ? Maybe that's why, mine's the 2 1/4 version (and it seems the inner tube is supposedly a 2 inch, only in the 2 1/4 mufflers)

It's a bit hard to find a muffler that sounds deep and mellow, a lot of them sound raspy or something like that.

Does anyone know if these muffler tips do anything ?

EvilCartman, you mean the 3rdGen Camaro or the 4thGen one ?

Alright, hmmm so you have them dumping right before the rear end ? Are they the short or the long bullit mufflers ?

So you have long tube headers, cat or no cat ?

who are you asking? and my car doesn't really sound raspy when you hear it in person. the video was taken with a digital camera which isn't really made for taking videos and there's a lot of wind noise.

I was asking EvilCartman.

Johnnyboy, didn't say yours sounded raspy, just stated that mine did sound more mellow. Which is why I wanted to confirm the size of your muffler, since in that case you have 2 1/2 all way through, mine may very well be 2 1/4 to 2 to 2 1/4 for some reason.

Yeah, they dump where that body plug is under the rear seats, more like the floor area where the rear seat bolts down. Exhaust system consists of 3 mandrel U bends, 1 4 foot section of exhaust tube, Hooker 2210 long tubes, couple of hangers and the 2 bullet mufflers. Probably going to build another exhaust for driving around town since this is just way too loud for me.

lets see, car chemistry "mufflers".. 2.5" true duals.. the "mufflers" are the car chemistry header inserts in a tube.. thats it.. very loud, great for attracting attention..
