Hi Guys,
I was just wondering what header size would be better 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 my car is stock except for CAI, Highflow cat, 3" thunder flowmaster catback. I know 1 5/8 would be more than enough for my setup now, but I plan on upgrading the cam, manifold, etc.... later on. Thats why I'm wondering if the 1 5/8 would be enough or just go with the 1 3/4? And what do you guys think about a LT4 cam in a 305?
Thanks

1 5/8" without question. If you had a 350 than I would say a 1 3/4".

same. Get the 15/8". There is no need to get the bigger tubes. You just don't flow enough. I had a 305 before my 385, and it had 1 5/8" headers. In fact I am selling them for $120. They were more than enough for my chipped and full exhausted car. You really don't need to larger tube size unless you have a 350 like 1989GTATransAm said.
good luck, and PM me if you want info on the headers.
