Hooker 2055 Headers and y-pipe ???

With the Hooker 2055 Headers and Y-pipe, will this bolt up to an aftermarket cat-back exhaust or will I have to buy another pipe to take the converter's place? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

probably will bolt up just fine as long as you have a cat, if not i may require a little fab at most.

Thanks Crazy, the reason I ask is b/c I have a V6 Car and am planning a Carbed SBC Swap and dont really want to invest in any cats. I figured that there would be a missing link between the y-pipe and cat-back but wasnt sure. Does anybody make an off road y-pipe for their headers??

Just gut out your cat it'll be just fine. If you have thrown it away just get like 18-20 inches of 3" pipe and weld it on in place.

Gutting the V6 cat to put onto 2055 headers is a horrible idea.

Mac makes an off-road pipe, but I'm not sure if it's 3". I just went down to an exhaust shop and got a length of 3" pipe and had one end expanded to fit over the y-pipe. However, I also did the same thing to the cat-back inlet so the pipe would slip into it. Probaby should have had a ball & flange welded onto the pipe so the cat-back would bolt onto it.

Thats what i did, except i needed a Ball Flange piece for the catback piece.. and my system is stock 2 1/4.. I used Clamps.. because i take that pipe off at the track.. lol

This winter/spring.. I'll have hooker 2055's 3'' all the way.. w/ an electric cut out...
