Cherry bomb install (v8)

I had a cherry bomb in place of the cat on my old z28. But it never sealed righ and I got a annoying tick all the time. Has anyone put the cherry bomb further down the exhaust were it is straight? like near the backseat floor pan? I supposed it would be like installing a peice of straight pipe but fo coarse it would sound a bit better. At the moment I have a muffler eliminator tube that removes the muffler and allows dual outlets with 3" chrome pipes. I had the same setup on my z28 but with no cat and the cherrry bomb. Id like to do the same thing but put the cherry bomb on a straight area of the exhaust.

Why not just keep the cherry bomb where it's at now and fix the exhaust leak? Otherwise, it doesn't matter where you put it as long as there's enough room to mount it.

Ive put many in my trash can. I can honestly say I've never put one on one of my own cars, nor will I ever for that matter.

If you're engine is pretty much stock it won't really sound that good, some may describe it as "farm-truck" sounding. If you want loud and good sounding, that's not really the way to go.
