im going to be running n/a for a while until i gather all the parts i need for my turbo build. im going to be using summit shorty headers because thats what i have. they have a 2 1/2" collector, i want 3 inch exhaust ran into the rear. so i want to have 3" from the headers running 3 inch into a x pipe then to the rear, into a single muffler. the catch is i WILL be going turbo(single) later down the road and want to have one muffler and not buying 3 within the next year. so.... what i want to know is can i use a 4 inch or 5 inch dynomax bullet muffler as my single muffler and if so is there any drawbacks running the exhaust that way? is there going to be any advantage running it this way too is also what id like to know. thanks, 82TA

 

I ran thet muffler on my old 90RS for a while, sound wasnt to my liking because of the ceramic packing, it is kind of red-neck-ish, if your into that go ahead, if you like the rasp of a flowmaster there is the outlaw series, it is a straight thru desighn like the bullet, the both will give maximum free flow, but you lose a little torque, not that much, the high rpm power felt better to me, i am trying to turn people on to this racing muffler if they desire a loud wicked sound.

 

well i like the way the bullets sound. ive heard one before and loved it. i cant stand the flowmasters, everyone and their mother in my area has them and the sound is just annoying.
