Even if you could mod it to fit, why bottle up headers with a stock Y?

After buying some hedmen headers and a y-pipe, The stock ones would not work without modification. You'll pay the muffler shop the same or more that it would cost to just go ahead and buy the 3" y-pipe.
----------
The passenger side was a PITA to install. I had to remove the motor mount bolt and raise the engine about 6". very tight fit. I had to weld in a 02 bung in the drivers side. finished the header and y-pipe install last night. Sounds good. Taking to the shop Saturday to have the final pipe welded on to complete the exhaust.

They also sell 2.5". The whole point of installing headers is to give your engine the ability to breath. Ideally, one would go 3" all the way out the back. Your h/p and gas mpg will improve.
