Does some one make shorty headers that bolt up to the stock dual cat pipes?
Hey guys. I've got a 1991 Chevy Camaro Z28 with 350 tuned port stock motor with a dual cat setup. I was wondering if anyone out in the market makes shorty type, emission legal headers that will bolt up to the stock dual cat pipes. If not, it looks like the only manufacturers left are Edelbrock and Hedman. Which of the two are best in fitment and quality?

No, nobody makes headers for the stock y-pipe. You have to use their y-pipe, or make your own.
Hooker and SLP are other choices for emissions legal headers. Stay away from Edelbrock. (search this forum for reasons why.)

Are you sure Hooker and SLP make them?
I looked up SLP's site and looks like they don't make them anymore and from the searches I've done on Hookers. They aren't emmissions legal in California. Do you have any other suggestions?

The Hooker 2055's are smog legal. But I dont know if they have a dual-cat version. Most of us in SoCal are running Dyno Don's modified SLP headers with a custom y-pipe.

Hedman and Edelbrock make headers with pipes that go to the stock dual cats.

I guess you missed the part where I said "stay away from Edelbrock headers."
